With the bulldog finishes his all his paper, the 3 is up again for the next spot. Jeram Perlus. As in our google docs, it is one of the 6 spot that we have for waterfall camps. Jeram Perlus, one among many falls in the Hulu Langat area, bla bla bla
We reach the entrance at 6am, put our gears on and greet the locals; testimonials from the locals are very helpful, there are splits around the trail so a guide is strongly suggested to get if you were to go there. Act in our age, adventure came first, we told the villagers that we will be alright on this trip.
And since we are starting to get used to all these trip, we tends to bring less equipment as we go. A pouch for the important belongings and survival kit, a knife for cutting our way to the destination together with a bag for the shirt and other equipments.
A rope, a knife and a pouch.
A mobile, a knife and a pouch.
Trail to jeram perlus was as how it was describe, you follow the from bike trail, start from patches of greens,
First half hour of tracking will be full of greens and clearing, just follow the bike trail.
Before going further up, you be seeing this pond on your left (est. of 20 mins reaching here from the thorny friend), if you dont, you better head back where you come from.
At the ending of the first hour you be going up hill, tress and bushes beside you, chances of getting lost is still low, just follow the bike trail.
The trail is mostly uphill, with few splits, but not really hard get lost as the bike trail easily to be seen. Start from the patches, you will go to places that has slightly taller grass, follow on with entrance of the woods.
Going deeper you will see the bamboo web made of fallen bamboo, before the second hour, you will be going deeper in to the forest, smell of wildboar leftover will be just around every 10-20 feet, around this time you be seeing another water catchment. Going further you be seeing a small stream. Follow the bike tracks, you be going up stream for less than 5 minutes and you be going downhill again.
Smell of the green is thick here, worth some class bio trips.
We hike all the way up for 2 half hours, cross the stream and start going downhill. My timelimit for this trip is 6 hours to and fro trail, by this time, a roof of a small hut of distance can be easily seen. With the time constrain that I have, I suggest that we required to head back. The adventure is being call off, and we started to head back.
Going back is another pain in the ass. Uphill hike with all the mosquito and leeches just so happy for the fest. We suffer heavy injuries and required to stop a couple of times for leech check and de-strain our muscle.
How many leech do you think to make a stain so big that you can see at a far.
Leech check and muscle cramp session.
Having stops works to make us ease for a while before getting trashes badly by the leeches, but every stops we get ended up having more mosquito knocking at our doorstep.
Smokes, one of men few friends that guard the mosquito by the door
On our way back, we try to smoke them as much as we could, yet still lost the fight when it started to rain. Muddy trails, leech filled socks, mosquito in the poncho, empty stomach since 6am, we are totally owned by the environment.
What is left after the muddy trails?
Got trashed badly...
Just like Micosoft, I patch!
For this trip, I would say, we lost. Badly to the nature.
Forget to introduce, our thorny friend. His just so chubby..
