15 Nov 2008 - Its a buzy day for me, wake up at 7am, bath myself, prepare to go for the pre-MyLDS in HELP college, Damansara. The pre-MyLDS was an crash course of what AIESEC is about, what MyLDS is about and what are you going to expect in MyLDS. So what is MyLDS? Malaysia Leadership Development Seminar, MyLDS is one of AIESEC in Malaysia’s annual conferences. Its main objective is to create an intense learning experience that will serve to equip participants with the exposure, network and skills to help them discover their potential as leaders. And bla bla bla.. a lot more at AIESEC UPM WEBSITE.
MyLDS seems abit fun to build up my network of yum cha kaki, but why go for pre-MyLDS. Well, in order to go to MyLDS, one is required to go for pre-MyLDS to understand AIESEC, why MyLDS, and what will be your expectation in MyLDS. Being an old man as I usually do (am suppose not to be active but always poke in to other people business) I went to pre-MyLDS to observe and to learn what are the quality of these campus leaders as so to speak of re-educate myself.
The pre-MyLDS starts at 9AM, afraid of being late, due to the fact that my biological clockworks are under maintenance of too much of teh ice and nasi lemak, I started off earlier and reach there half an hour before the event start. Upon reaching I find myself lost in HELP. I ask the security personal for direction, and they told me; DSA? Ya, just follow the girls. So I walk behind the girls, follow them along the HELP walkway, try to see where does the wormhole leads to, and ended all 3 of us got lost in help.
Finally, after 2 phone calls and going in to a wrong class, we ended at the DSA, some where above ground of Exit 12. The event started at near 10am with the election of the new LCP, local committee president; congrats to him, got 1 out or 9 votes of "not in favor". It quickly shoots of to the crash course of AIESEC and follow with a lunch at KFC. After lunch, came the ice breaking session of one simple game and continue with the pre-MyLDS thingy where we are required to prepare a drama script of 20 minutes and a square dance.
The subject was Turkey (the country) and the drama script is to represent Turkey (not the food). Having background on script writing, stage play and radio play just make things to easy, as an old I am, i kept my mouth shut so that others can contribute, brother Fui takes on the role of our small group (oh forgot to mention, there is only 4 newbies, 3UMP fellas and me) and leads us to complete the storyline of the play.
Once the storyline is done, time seems moving fast and we are required to chore for the square dance and its freaking 6pm, having a never ending phone calls from this lasallian gathering organizers of bugging me to get a seat in Yuen, which I find out that not anyone can be me, we changes the last venue at the last minute, my bad.
By 6.30pm, first day of pre-MyLDS is reaching its end, with the security guards looks restless wanting to lock the DSA, and me wanting to rush to Summer, we say farewell to other and headed our directions. It took me 20 minutes to reach Sunway and everyone seems buzy with their mouthful. Attendance seems average that 2 tables is just nice for the seatings.

How much again? Oh yea, the estimation was correct. Sorry Bro, no pork, i get some pork chop for you guys next time.

Leg massage after one whole day of makan? well I saw hot chicks working inside.. hmn..
After all the makan makan, we headed down to give some lasallian birthday celebration on our friends and head for the next session, putting one more month on our group piggy belly.
We went back to Happy cafe, ordered some drink and chill out while the piggy is trying to get more space on his belly. Well piggy, nice burping and i felt deeply sorry for the unexpected reaction of his.
